the objective

A logo for The Greyhound James’ Band. Classic rock, blues, soul and spaghetti rock are Greyhound James’ genre. He wanted a classic rock vibe to the logo that would incorporate the greyhound. The name is very long, so had to divide it four ways. I also wanted to put it altogether in a circle, because of the digital platforms. The main challenge was not to give in to the temptation of putting this well known runner, running. Now, I wouldn’t imagine it any other way. His ribs helped though.

the objective

We’re talking about a region full of potencial, with gastronomy being the main attraction. The client approach me wanting something simple and honest, to promote the products made by the farmers. I photographed outdoors and design the posters, that were then advertised on MUPI.

The farmers and the cook really went out of their way to make the products as yummy as they look.

the objective

The task was simple, an artwork for a debut double album, in compact disc format. But knowing the project so well, I felt that had to me more.

I knew the lyrics deserved more attention, so I asked two illustrators to do one illustration per music/lyric. I wanted them printed on postcards, 20 detachable ones, with 18 illustrations (one for each song) by Margarida Pinto, Vítor Santos and 2 photos by me. These were put together on a A5 cardboard folder, printed with linoleum. The cd were also printed with the same technique. The print on the cd nr 1 is the negative print of the cd nr 2. They came with one cotton tote, also linoleum printed. Numbered limited edition, 99 pieces only.
